John Fitzgerald Kennedy

born: March 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts
        
Kennedy was shot on the morning of Friday Nov. 22, 1963
and died a few hours later. His assassination has led to many
conspiracy theories. It is widely believed that he was
assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, but many believe that
there was a second gunman, thereby rejecting the official 
report.

He wrote "Profiles in Courage" in 1956 for which he
won a Pulitzer Prize in 1957.

He served in House:  1947-1953
	     Senate: 1953-1961

He was elected President 1960 in a close election running
against Richard Nixon; he was the first Catholic as well
as the youngest president.
He started the Peace Corps and supported civil rights and
the space program.

His vice president was Lyndon Johnson.
His wife was Jacqueline Lee Bouvier 1929-1994
